This product needs no introduction. Long has the saga of 68RFE Research and Development been going on, most companies and shops have figured out the recipe for them. First part to start, is the valve body.

We start with ultrasonically cleaned, inspected, qualified core parts to ensure they are useable for the remanufacturing process. Ream and vacuum check the SSV bore and valve, as this is a crucial step. The accumulators get replaced with billet aluminum, triple sealed pieces. Drill and tap for an HD accumulator plate, that minimizes the chances for blow outs. We flat sand both the main valve body casting and channel plates to ensure true flat surfaces. The OEM separator plate is junked for a thicker plate that is reconfigured to achieve the 225psi most aftermarket tuning commands for, yet the VB can be configured for stock 160-170psi commands. We top these units off with a NEW OEM Mopar solenoid block, tower seals, and everything torqued to specifications.

But wait, last, but not least the channel plate. We can configure your VB with either stock channel plate or with a Billet channel plate. If you so choose to purchase a stock cast channel plate, your line pressure MUST not exceed 200psi. We’ve had great luck with this combination, but we always recommend upgrading to the Billet channel plate for peace of mind.
